Scouts raising paddles in a canoe on the lake

Camping

Camping is an integral part of the Scouting program. In the outdoors, kids have opportunities to acquire skills that make them more self-reliant. They can explore, canoe, hike trails and complete challenges they first thought were beyond their ability. Attributes of good character become part of a young person as they learn to cooperate to meet challenges they may face in the great outdoors. Whether you’re a seasoned Scout or new to the outdoors, our adventures are designed to inspire, challenge, and create lifelong memories.

The Greenwich Council provides many different outdoor programs for Scouts BSA, Cub Scouts, Venturing Crews, Sea Scouts and Explorers. Some programs and rentals are also available to other organizations who are interested in using the Ernest Thompson Seton Scout Reservation.
