CAMP SETON CONSERVATION AND SERVICE PROJECTS
DO A GOOD TURN FOR SETON SCOUT RESERVATON AND HAVE FUN TOO!!!!
Calling all Boy Scout Troops and Cub Scout packs! Camp Seton needs help! Adopt a campsite, work on part of one of the trails or work in the creek to help fight erosion. Below are service projects and conservation projects that need to get done before Day Camp starts.
Provide financial support or come out to camp with your Troop or Pack to complete a project for Ranger Scott.
CONSERVATON PROJECTS
- Cut brush at rifle range
- Remove fallen trees and brush from streambed from parkway to Round Hill
- Move rocks to embankment in stream next to parkway
- Move rock and clean streambeds of fallen trees and brush near Stewart's crossing
- Clean trail of brush around Bush Lake
- Trailwork
- Remove invasive species around Lake Hillegas
- Remove invasive species around Bush Lake
SERVICE PROJECTS
- Install new fence post-rails a the Council fire ring
- Cut brush around Lake Hillegas and Bush Lake
- Repair fence rails at sports field
- Cut brush, fix fence posts, fix plywood back stop at rifle range
- Adopt a camp site
- Repair and paint latrine at Winter camp site
- Power wash front porch of Nature Education Center
- Remove fallen trees and brush from streambed from parkway to Round Hill
- Move rocks to embankment in streambed next to parkway
- Move rock and clean streambeds of fallen trees and brush near Stewart's crossing
- Clean trail brush around Bush Lake
- Rake out dirt roads around Lake Hillegas
- Clean brush around Pray Buiding/Neilsen Building/Activities Building
- Spread top soil around Pray Building field
- Clear debris and spread woodchips in climbing area and low ropes course
