AS COPIED FROM THE OFFICAL ANNOUNCEMENT:
Dear Greenwich Community:
We hope you and your families are, and remain, healthy and safe.
Our hearts are heavy today as we announce the cancellation of Greenwich Town Party 2020. For ten years, we have remained steadfast in our mission: for people to come together and celebrate the strength of our community. While this mission means more today than ever before, after much deliberation and working closely with the First Selectman’s office and local health officials, we have concluded that holding our event this year is not possible. The health and wellness of our community is our top priority, and there are just too many unknown variables at this time. Even though this decision comes with great disappointment for all of us, we are looking forward to next year when we can all come together again in celebration.
Therefore, we are excited to announce that GTP 2021 is scheduled for Saturday, May 29, 2021. We are working on an outstanding musical line-up that will be announced later in the year!
All GTP 2020 tickets will be transferred to GTP 2021, and we encourage all current ticket holders to save the date. No further action is required if you are a current ticket holder and plan to attend GTP 2021. Please rest assured if you cannot attend, you will be issued a full refund. In the coming weeks, we will email each ticket buyer on how to process that request. We ask for your patience as we work on the specific details.
Over the past two months, we have witnessed great feats of courage and kindness in our town. We honor our community through our annual GTP Heroes program, and we hope everyone takes a moment to go on our website and nominate family, friends and neighbors who are giving back during these unprecedented times. Let’s applaud the unsung heroes among us.
As always, we thank you for your generous support and endless enthusiasm for the Greenwich Town Party.
Be well. Stay strong.
The Greenwich Town Party Team
