Go Big and Go Wild at the National Jamboree!

Get ready!  The 2013 National Scout Jamboree is coming and it ain't your father's jamboree.  We're talking seriously high adventure, people!  Whitewater rafting, zip-lining, rappelling, mountain biking, hiking, and more - with 50,000 of your closest friends at the brand new Summit Bechtel Reserve in the wilds of West Virginia.

The 2013 National Scout Jamboree will take place from July 15th to July 24th, 2013.  It will be a once in a lifetime experience that Greenwich Scouts will be able to participate in!  Check out the Summit Website for info on the Summit Bechtel Reserve, Patrol Z and the 2013 National Scout Jamboree!  Scouts are already signing up - check out the Jambo application instructions for help!  Expect more details about the Greenwich Council Jambo 2013 contingency to come.

The Greenwich Council 2015 Spring Boy Scout Camporee will be taking place on May 17th-18th.  More information to come!

Putnam Cemetery (map)
On Monday, May 18th, Scouts can meet at the flag pole in Putnam Cemetery (off Parsonage Rd) to be assigned an area to place American Flags on the graves of Veterans.Boy Scouts can meet around 5pm, Cub Scouts are encouraged to arrive around 6pm.Class A uniform requested.  Please contact Jim Heavey if your Pack or Troop plans to be involved so he can let the American Legion know.
