Calling all Scouts.....Community Service Opportunity

WHAT:  Planting American Chestnut Tree seedlings for the Greenwich Land Trust

WHEN:  Saturday November 15th from 1-3pm

WHERE:  Duck Pond Hill property on Burning Tree Road Greenwich

Hundreds of chestnut seedlings will be planted in partnership with the The American Chestnut Foundation.  The Greenwich Land Trust needs as much help as possible on November 15th.  A short educational talk will take place just before the planting.  Refreshments will be served for all those volunteering.  A RAIN DATE is scheduled for 1pm-3pm on November 16th. Parking is available along Burning Tree Road.  The GLT entrance to the field is across the street from 18 Burning Tree Road.

Junior League of Greenwich’s Enchanted Forest Event

Date: Friday, November 21st – Sunday, November 23rd

Who: Boy Scouts

What: 3 to 4 hour shifts to help with set-up, clean-up, tree decorating, working with children’s events such as gingerbread workshops and much more.
